Connie’s art represents the spirit of Door County. The paintings above are examples of that spirit. The people of varied ages and backgrounds are united, even briefly, in their enjoyment of nature and feeding the gulls as they view one of Door County’s beautiful sunsets or well-known local images. She tells stories with her paintings. “I take people to places I have found or imagine. Each painting is a story which brings back a memory, transports the viewer to a special place, and leads to greater insights. Connie creates images which reveal her life’s philosophies and purposes in creation. Our past experiences and the values resulting from them, lead us in selecting subject matter and how we present these images.
