Scholarships

United Arts Alliance offers scholarships each year to students in Rock County, both traditional and non-traditional, who have been active in the arts.

2012 UAA Scholarship – APPLY NOW

The United Arts Alliance will be awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior and/or returning college student to further their undergraduate education in any field.  The scholarship will be awarded to a Rock County resident.

Listed below are the qualifications, instructions and procedures applicants are to follow in order to be considered.

Qualifications:

  1. Applicant must show active involvement in some form of the arts.  The arts include but are not limited to theater (performing or technical), music, visual art, advocacy for art and forensics.
  2. Applicant must show active involvement in theRockCounty community

Instructions:

  1. Applicant must complete the UAA Scholarship Application form
  2. Applicant must send a resume stating previous accomplishments, involvements and future goals
  3. Applicant must send a letter of recommendation from a teacher or other colleague
  4. The completed application, resume and letter of recommendation must be sent by March 31, 2012.

2011 Scholarship Recipients
The recipients were chosen from a pool of 25 applicants.

Gina Hackett
A recent Craig H.S. graduate entering Harvard as a freshman to study Journalism or English with a minor in a foreign language.

Nancy Hawkins
Previously honored for her painting being a UAA Arts Hall of Fame fine arts inductee, is now entering senior year at UW-Whitewater studying Political Science with a minor in Philosophy.

Dylan Moriarty
A Craig H.S. graduate entering his junior year at UW-Madison studying to be a Secondary Math Educator while working as a comic strip artist, photographer and Graphics Editor at the campus newspaper, the Daily Cardinal, and as a part of the tech crew at the UW Memorial Union Theater.

Kelsey Londo
A recent Craig H.S. graduate entering as a freshman at UW-Oshkosh to do a double major in both Pre-Med and Spanish.
